Samsung Galaxy Ace Style - Coming Soon!
Tracfone has been busy lately, with five Android phones made available for use on their prepaid networks in the last year, and now a new option in the Samsung S765C coming in the near future.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Style is a Android 4.3 powered, 4 inch touchscreen, front and rear facing camera phone that may just be the best phone available on Tracfone yet.

We will share all the details about this new phone, including features and specs, below and share our general thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style including how it compares to some of the other options from Tracfone.

Tracfone is a low cost prepaid service and cell phone provider in America and the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style is one of the latest phones to be made available. It isn't out yet, but we will keep you updated with any changes.

The LG Optimus Fuel is another phone coming now available for Tracfone, with Android 4.4. Follow the link to learn more about it, or visit our Cell Phone Reviews page to learn more about each of the Android phones available from Tracfone.

Time to take a look at the features and specs for the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style

What to Expect for the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style (S765C)

As we mentioned above, this Samsung phone comes with several features many Tracfone users will be excited to have including a 4 inch touchscreen, Android 4.3 and front and rear cameras.

Many users have expressed a desire for a phone with a screen larger than 3.8 inches, which is currently available through Tracfone's LG Optimus Dynamic II, and the Galaxy Ace Style appears to deliver just that with a 4 inch screen that gives a 480 x 800 resolution (233ppi).

The Samsung S765C will be for use on Verizon's CDMA 3G network, as are all of Tracfone's Android devices at this time. For more about CDMA, read our CDMA vs GSM guide.

Here is a list of expected features:

Samsung Galaxy Ace Style Features and Specs

  • 1.2 Ghz Processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 4 GB Internal, up to 64 GB External Micro SD

  • Battery: 12 Hours Talk, 11 Days Standby
The Samsung Galaxy Ace Style appears to come with the best camera (and a front camera) and largest screen of any Tracfone device to date. We will certainly share any news and updates, including changes to specs, here as we find them. Share your thoughts or news in the comments section below.

The phone also has Android 4.3 (some reporting possibly Android 4.4) which is a fairly recent version, and gives users access to thousands of apps via Google Play.

Overall we are very excited for when this phone comes out. It brings a number of features many people have been hoping to be able to get while sticking with Tracfone service. Look for our full review once the phone is available

While the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style isn't available for Tracfone yet, but has been spotted for Straight Talk, which would indicate it is coming to Tracfone very soon. Price is expected to be above $100, and more likely around $150. This is a little steep, but considering this phone has some of the best specs for a Tracfone yet, most people will be willing to pay.

If you are looking for other phone options to use with Tracfone, read our new guide to the Tracfone BYOP program, which includes a list of compatible phones. You can even us an iPhone 4 and 4S with Tracfone now.

The hits just keep on comin'! This phone sounds really good, for a Tracfone especially. Been a user of Tracfone for years and now I feel that I can have a really up to date phone with this type being offered soon. Thanks for the specs and pic, and I will be waiting to hear when it is out! Thanks!

I'm already using an HTC droid incredible 2 on tracfone... When will they get a phone with some serious specs (except for 4.4) to compete with this 3 year old model. 3g is fine with me, but camera, processor & build quality are still important. Also, the availability of gsm or international would help! Just sayin'.

I'm using an HTC , thats cool...

You will spend a fortune with this phone because of the texting rates. Tracfone charges one minute per text with all android phones. Beware!

Anonymous said...

I've had an Android Tracfone for nine months. I have sent lots of texts and I haven't been charged any minutes for sending those texts. Are you sure you understand how Androids work on Tracfone?

Anonymous said...

I will be glad if/when Tracfone gets a 4-inch display with at least 1 gb of RAM. Doesn't appear to be anytime soon.

Anonymous said...

I'll upgrade from my LG800G when this comes out. I wish texts didn't cost a whole unit, but at least they have 3 separate banks

Anonymous said...

It appears that some Tracfone users just don't understand Android phones. If you purchase a card with a bank of 200 minutes, 200 texts, and 200 gb of data (x3) you will be charged for each text you send through the Messaging app that comes pre-installed on the phone. If you download the TextNow app--or any of several others--from the Google Play store, you can text as much and as often as you want from any location that has a wifi connection available. There will be no deductions from your bank. I have sent and received thousands of texts using the TextNow app, with no reduction in my Tracfone texts or minutes. Unless you are sending all your texts from a location where you are unable to connect to wifi, it is all completely free. If you are sending a large number of texts from where no wifi connection is available, then you should keep your LG 800G.

Peter Vanosdall said...

Good point about the TextNow app - there are ways to get around texting via the phones prepaid texts!

when will it be available to buy?

How do you like the Incredible 2 on Tracfone? I have a ZTE Valet and am thinking of switching to an HTC Incredible 2 but not sure if it's worth it or if I should just wait for this Samsung.

Anonymous said...

I am patiently waiting. When will it be ready tp purchase?

Good day;

Where can I buy a Samsung Galaxy Ace S765C? I LIKE the specs of this unit, as it has a large 4" TFT screen, 5Mb rear camera, VGA FRONT (!) camera, and so on.

I searched Amazon, eBay, etc., no joy.

I did see that Walmart has this unit, but it appears to be for STRAIGHT TALK, as follows:
---
Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Ace Style S765c (Verizon) Android phone $149.88 with free $50 Walmart Gift Card at Walmart

http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=S765C&ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=0
---

Is the STRAIGHT TALK from Walmart going to:
1-Work on the Verizon network?
2-Be assigned to my Tracfone account?
3-Can I transfer my present balances to the S765C on Tracfone?

-Mike-

Hi Mike,

As mentioned in the post above, there is no known release date for Tracfone.

We will share on here when anything changes.

Anonymous said...

This phone on straight talk has 4GB internal storage with 2.6 already used by the system. Apps cannot be installed on SD card so there is very small room left for apps. It has no camera flash and light and proximity sensors. A very beautiful phone but too limited in specs.

Jen said...

Other Tracfone smartphones have 4GB internal and I have tons of storage left with aps installed. I want this new phone for the bigger screen. The phone may be limited, but at $7 a month you can't beat the price.

Anonymous said...

Will tracfone start coming out with phones with at least 8.GB of internal storage very soon? It is desperately needed.

Anonymous said...

Should I wait for the Samsung Ace or get a Droid X2?

Anonymous said...

hey! I was wondering if there is any news on this new phone, I have asked tracfone support and they say they cannot provide the information and if there is a new phone they would tell us... I am not sure if this page is real or a hoax.

Anonymous said...

should I wait for this phone to come out (1)
wait for it to come out and get a lg optimus dynamic (20$) (2)
or just get a zte valet for 50$ (3)
I really need guidance and dont wanna do the third option and have the phone come out a week later if you know what I mean.

Anonymous said...

haha ikr

Anonymous said...

same situation :/

Anonymous said...

I was thinking of getting the Lg Optimus Dynamic since it's the cheapest and if the new phone comes out it won't be that bad to switch over. The ZTE Valet is $40 on Amazon. I think I'll wait though hopefully this phone comes out this year.

Anonymous said...

hope isnt lost! I believe that it will come very soon. tracfone just started a 30$ off all android smartphones. maybe making room for the new ones :"D

Anonymous said...

I have the LG Optimus Dynamic II and it's a good phone - haven't had any problems with it (I've had it about 6 mo). My son bought the ZTE Valet and it worked for about 2 weeks before the screen wouldn't show anything. Did a lot of research and found out it's a problem with the proximity sensor - lots of people have had the same problem. It went back. I wouldn't recommend the ZTE Valet. I'm waiting for this phone to come out on Tracfone so I can give my Dynamic II to my son, but if it doesn't come out soon he'll be buying himself the Dynamic II.

Anonymous said...

I Really want this phone badly

Anonymous said...

alot of us are hoping this phone makes its debut soon !! I have been with Tracfone 14 years and everytime they offer a better mobile device I upgrade. Hopefully someone will spot it somewhere soon ? Till then one can only hope.

This is another walmart deal, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Samsung-Prepaid-Galaxy-Ace-Smartphone/36202742

its a big spread from 30.00 for the LG34c to 150 for this Samsung. And so far its for straight talk only, as the l34c is at the moment. If the price were a bit more comparable between these two, like 30/50 it would interest me too.

When these things will be available for trackphone service is still in the air, even though manuals for both phones are on trackphone site. As long as trackfone is selling them hand over fist through walmart with that straight talk 45 bucks a month "plan" they don't need to sell them through trackfone. It will most likely be a while till they appear for us lowly buy min as you need them crowd. but by than there will be another "slice of white bread" that will show up to trump it.

Anonymous said...

Yes! When will it be available?

Anonymous said...

I've been following this post since June and it's now after Labor Day. I thought for sure they would roll it out for "back to school" , but that has come and gone. What are we looking at.......Christmas season??? Tracfone is really dragging their feet here.

I am dumping tracfone, they have a crappy selections of phones...

It is supposedly out for TracFone--see the following post:

BS !, not listed at all

Anonymous said...

I agree. Their phones are a bit behind the times, but for the $$, it's good enough.

Anonymous said...

Don't kill the messenger. I was just pointing out what TracFone forum staff wrote. This is a major change in messaging vs. what they normally say, i.e. "when a new phone is available, we'll show it on our website". So my guess is that this is on the cusp of arriving. Maybe it will actually arrive to the shelves of Walmart before it is listed on the TF website. Again, don't kill the messenger.

Re: crappy phones and reviews on Straight Talk. Other phone services and ST are a different world. But that comes at a price of $45+. If I was a ST customer maybe I would give the Ace Style a bad review. But if I'm paying $7 a month on Tracfone I like that price a lot more than whatever phone I can get anywhere else right now. Anyway, 65 of 69 customers on Walmart would recommend this phone to buyers. It got 47 5 star reviews, 18 4 star, one 1 star, 3 two star and 0 one star. Sounds like it gets good reviews overall.

Anonymous said...

Well, the iphone 6 is out.....and still I wait for Tracfones ancient offerings.

Anonymous said...

Any news on when this will be available?

JC said...

Exactly, bag on the "crappy" selection but there isn't a better service for the money. I could buy an Apple phone on ST for $500 and then pay $45 per month to operate it. Over a 2 year period that comes to $1600 or $66 per month. On Tracfone I will be paying $10 a month including the cost of the phone. So I wish there are better phones coming but I also wish people would compare apples to apples when they dump on TF. Sure you may dump it but you'll also end up paying 6 x's as much.

Anonymous said...

I was wondering the same thing!

Peter Vanosdall said...

Nothing yet, but with the LG Optimus Fuel coming out just a few days ago, and with no warning, the Galaxy Ace Style could be available any time.

Anonymous said...

I've got the ZTE Valet, and with only 512 Ram it's horribly buggy. I'm always re-booting and killing apps. I've got a nice big SD card installed but that doesn't solve the Ram issue. So while I'd like to try the new Samsung phone and ditch the ZTE, what's the point if it doesn't have 1Gig or more of Ram? My son's Ipod has more ram I think than any Tracfone.

Anonymous said...

What else is new coming out? I read talk about a motorola with a 4.5 in screen and want to know more!

Anonymous said...

@ Peter V: Where do you see the LG Fuel available? Link please.

Peter Vanosdall said...

Hey, see the post on the LG Optimus Fuel, and there are links to both Amazon and eBay for the phone:

Anonymous said...

Just bought the Fuel for my wife off ebay as a surprise Anniversary present. Got the one with 600/600/600 included. Seemed like a great deal. Can't wait for the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style for myself.

Dan Bryda said...

Any ideas when the Samsung Galaxy Ace will be coming out? It is long awaiting and will be a huge win for tracfone, but is desperately needed with all the competition out there.

Anonymous said...

New phones are likely black friday

Anonymous said...

They just released the LG Optimus Fuel completely out of the blue.......I don't see why the Samsung would be any different. Just keep checking daily.

Anonymous said...

I have the new ST galaxy ace style bought it 3 wks ago from supercenter Wal Mart in my hometown, Beaver Dam,wi. I have the ST $45.00 unlimited text, data, and nationwide talk. I was wondering after i carried my same number over from my old ST phone if these Phones already have a SIM Card I do not Know!

Anonymous said...

........now the LG Ultimate 2 and the Alcatel Onetouch Icop Pop have been released. I might have to rethink the Samsung. Both have bigger screens, 1.2GHz quad core processors, 5MP cameras, and run Kit Kat 4.4.

The_Mick said...

With the triple minutes you get with Tracfone smartphones, for $99/year you get 1200 min. voice, 1200 text messages, and 1200 MB 3G.

You're not charged voice time for texts. Before I had a smartphone, I think I paid 0.1 min per text message with my LG-800G Tracfone, but don't message much so I can't remember for sure.

Anonymous said...

Are there any tracfones that you can read the screen outside in the light

Anonymous said...

The Moto E just come out as well.

Another advantage over the Galaxy Ace Style is that all three phones sport 1GB of ram compare to the 512MB of ram found on the Ace Style.

Anonymous said...

The style specs say it has a dual sim slot. Any idea if you can use the second slot overseas if the phone is Tracfone locked? I've read that Tracfone is notorious for not unlocking there phones. The second sim might be useful when traveling overseas if they let you use it.

Anonymous said...

Is the Samsung Ace ever coming to Tracfone? I want a smart phone with both rear and front facing camera action. No others on their site offer this feature.

Peter Vanosdall said...

Actually the LG Ultimate 2 and Alcatel Onetouch Icon pop both offer this, and are currently available with Tracfone. Go visit the Cell Phone Reviews page (located in the top bar above) and read up on these phones!

This phone is now out. I got one at Walmart.com on Black Friday (rather than waiting in lines at the store). The regular price is $129, but it was on sale for $29. I LOVE IT! Great features, including two sided camera (5 MP rear). I've used StraitTalk service for a number of years, and all I pay for 30 days of unlimited calling, unlimited text and data is $45 a month. The phone is probably worth the full price, but I couldn't pass it up for $29!

Peter Vanosdall said...

Is this the Straight Talk version you're talking about? I don't know if it is out for Tracfone yet. They usually release it on Straight Talk first.

Anonymous said...

Yes, mine is for StraightTalk. I guess that was implied, but I didn't make it clear. Thanks.
