Hi, I just took a tracfone survey that asked if I would be interested in an unlimited plan. This is quite exciting! Have you heard anything about if/when they would roll this out?

Anonymous said...

Tracfone will have to offer an unlimited plan. Some contract unlimited plans are
cheaper than Tracfone if you use a lot of data.

Anonymous said...

Tracfone already has unlimited plans under other brand names.

Help. I got a notice on my account saying my phone will be unactivated because of incompatibility soon due to changes with their carriers. I've only had it a year. It's a ZTE Max Duo. I love it though it's getting a but slow. They have a place on their site that says 2 check 2 update but then say my internet isn't working. It's working. I think TracFone isn't allowing my phone 2 update. this is a triple minute phone. They offered me a 25% discount on another phone but mostly downgrades or small screens. What can I do? I'm very frustrated to say the least. Now I have 2 buy a new phone, lose my big screen, my good camera, & worst of all the triple minutes! Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

I would suggest upgrading to the Moto E5 or the Moto G6,both great phone's I hear with big screens and both are available through HSN with usually a year of airtime included. Hope this helps.

Just got a new Samsung Galaxy S7 online direct from Tracfone. The box says android 6.0 but the phone itself says it’s running 8.0!

Your post on May 24 states that 3G CDMA phones will be obsolete after Dec 2019. Yet, in this post you're recommending CDMA phones. Why?

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

RE: L.I.

3G CDMA networks through Verizon are being closed at the end of 2019 but that doesn't mean all CDMA phones won't work, just the ones that don't have 4G VoLTE (which most recent CDMA phones, such as the ones in this list, inlude now)

The $49.00 deal with TracFone on ebay could I use it for just renewing for the year? This is a great deal and I save half the money. My year is up in August and I have been with TracFone for 20 years with no problems. I already have a Sim card all I need is to update for the year.

Has anyone tried the $49.99 1yr, 3GB, 1200 min, 1200 texts on an existing account?

I bought the great airtime deal on Ebay - one year of service time plus lots of minutes, texts and data for $49. I put in the pin number on my phone and was amazed at how fast it was added to my account! I had some trouble deciphering the pin number at the bottom of the card as the sticky covering did not want to come off and made some of the numbers hard to read. I must have guessed correctly as it went through and all my numbers went up to the expected totals. I want to thank you for listing all of these great deals and promo codes for us loyal Tracfone subscribers, along with all of the other information available on this website it is a MUST for Tracfone customers. I take advantage of the deals when I see them and consequently have amassed a lot of minutes, etc., in my account. It will be a while before I have to buy anything for my phone. I don't understand why people are still willing to pay such outrageous monthly rates for their cell phone service.

I would LOVE to get the Caller Block\Collector on my Tracfone, since I get a LOT of phishing, ads, and strange phone calls.

Google Play says I don't have a phone connected or something like that, so I can't install this program

Exactly how do I get this Caller Blocking system on my Tracfone?

Mine is an LG 441G that I purchased in December, 2015.

Is the phone too old or outdated to take advantage of this app?

TracfoneReviewer, Thank you a hundred times over for the latest information about the sale of a activation card that has 3GB data, 1200 minutes of talk and 1200 mins of texts and renew for 365 days all for the low price of $49.99 sold on e-bay. I purchased this card, got it in 3 days and in seconds all the above was added to my phone. I am a very happy camper. Clara Stroup

For the Airtime Deal - 1 Year Service/1200 Mins deal how long do you have to activate it?

Unknown said...

eBay is sold out of the renewal 1 year cards.

Unknown said...

I also bought the 3G 1200 Renewal airtime card form Ebay for $49. Great deal, so thanks so much for posting it. Since they are out of renewal cards, can you you purchase their Verizon card (our local carrier) and not use pin or change numbers? I'd like to get another one for a family member.

Nancy said...

The ebay 3gb card was a great deal. I know renewals are sold out, but what difference does it make if you get one of the ones with a sim card? Are they going to know? You just wouldn't use the sim card.

FYI, my branded TracFone Moto G6 received an OS 9 Pie updated last month and this week it received an August Security install. I was very surprised because none of my previous branded TracFones every received an OS or Security upgrade! Is this new for TracFone?

kmabru said...

You can't use the AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile options for renewals. With those you get a new SIM card that is pre-loaded with the year's service, minutes, text and data. Whatever you have left on your current account would not carry over since you HAVE to use the new card.

Can anyone suggest current inexpensive Tracphone models that will work with
5G.I was informed by them that my handset will not work with the changes
They were not helpful to recommend any thing else

Today, 9/14/19, I tried to use promo code 99918 and promo code 16756 for a 1 year and 400 minutes basic phone card. The recording told me that those 2 codes were not valid for the phone plan. I do not understand why. I guess I lost 300 minutes today!

Landstander said...

In the one year plan you specify "3G data". How much data and what happens with that code on 4G LTE phones?

Mapk said...

Hello all & a huge thank you for years of good info on tracfone, you've keep me coming back anytime I have any questions... As for the 49$ renewal card being sold out I reached out directly to the eBay seller, a direct agent of tracfone. The gist of the very kind & informative reply; buy the "Verizon or I'm not sure which carrier" option as either of these includes a physical air time card ("I'm not sure" includes a SIM for each carrier (3) + a card). The other choices have ONLY a sim with preloaded package and NO physical card... In this case use the air time card only & dispose of or save any unneeded sims... Thanks again to this site and all the best!

The airtime and minutes come preloaded on the SIM card. You HAVE to use the SIM card. I think it's very unlikely that you can use it for a renewal.

Regarding:
Tracfone Deals and Sales List - October 2019
Airtime Deal - 1 Year Service/1200 Mins

Your site said this deal would work for renewal, but on eBay, you're getting a Sim card. I questioned Tracfone and they said it's only for new activation, not renewals. Is there some other way to get this deal for renewal?

Thanks

Ordered the Verizon 3Gb card for both mine and wife’s current phone. Threw out the SIM cards entered airtime code provided with kit on accounts. All data and airtime loaded without issue. Thanks for the tip.

I have had TracFone for 25 years. In Oct I got a free refurbished phone and I bought a 1 year plan for $99.99. My husband and I were on the phone for 2 hours trying to activate the phone and it didn't work. I got frustrated and said Forget It!! They said I should send back my 1 year card. The next day the phone worked so I kept it!! When the time came to renew my plan, the new plan I had already paid $114.29 for wouldn't work!! After being on the phone for 2 hours again, an agent finally told me that they had stolen from me!! Without me having sent my 1 year card back, they had de-activated my card AND charged me $114.29 for a de-activated card!! The agent said they will refund my money but nothing so far!! I am SO frustrated with TracFone!!
