A WiFi enabled device is able to connect to the internet through WiFi networks for free without charging the user any units/minutes.

Thus using a phone with WiFi capability allows the user to surf the web, email, and much more without spending any money!

This can be a great feature for many people who like to use their phone for more than just calling and texting.

So below is a list of several phones from Tracfone that have WiFi Capability! Leave a comment if you know of other phones offered by Tracfone with WiFi.

Update - Tracfone Android Smartphones have WiFi!

These phones all come with WiFi, along with many other great features.

    1. Ah, yes sometimes I have various troubles with Tracfone. Here are two methods for contacting them besides calling customer service. Both of these may take some time, but they should get you the assistance you need.

First option, contact them through a form online here:
      http://www.tracfone.com/contact.jsp?task=contact

Second option is to post in the Official Tracfone Forum here:
      http://tracfoneforum.com/

Hope that helps. I have found that it usually takes some patience, but Tracfone does try to set things right in the end.

    1. Ah, yes, Tracfone initially reported this phone had WiFi, which the Net 10 version does (I think), but they corrected that, and so it has been changed above as well. Thanks for your comment!

  10. I bought two Tracfone LG 840g's from HSN recently after the products demos repeatedly confirmed the phone DOES have wifi calling which does not deduct minutes. I have wifi set up on my phone but it still uses the 3g for calls & deducts minutes. Any idea how to implement the wifi calling? Thx. Jane

  11. Is there an Android phone I can buy from say Alibaba for cheap, ($80 or so) that I can make calls with, using the free Wi-fi at the library?

  12. I bought a LG 840G from HSN. It is being shipped and I should receive it in 3 more business days. HSN sells the phone as one thatincludes 1500 minutes of air time. On their video demonstration they clearly show a 1500 minute card, which is valued at $199.99. When I ordered over the phone I asked if the 1500 minute plan/card is included with the phone. The HSN sales person said no, there is a 500 minute plan/card included which will be tripled to 1500 minutes. It's confusing (maybe deceptive on purpose by HSN) which will really come with the phone. Can anyone fill me in on which comes with a LG 480G? If a 1500 minutes card comes with it as shown in their video can it be tripled to really get 4500 minutes plus promo code minutes? Or does a 500 minute plan/card come with the phone that will be tripled to 1500 minutes (plus any available promo code minutes)? I will share my findings when the phone arrives.

  16. i have a tracfone but i can not use the internet, cant use ebay app, cant use facebook app without being on a wifi network which makes no sense cause with straight talk you only need cell signal to do all these things. i'm not always going to have a wifi connection living in the country

  17. Tracfone charges you minutes when you are connected to WIFI. Your talk and text are charged even if you are connected to WIFI. When you call tracfone tech support your minutes are being charged as they put you on hold and try to remedy a problem that they usually can not remedy. If they put you on hold for a tech person who knows what they are doing, you are being charged. dont think you will save money because you are on wifi all the time. their advertisements and web page is very misleading.

  18. I have been with Tracfone for over 15 years. I do not need to be connected to my phone 24/7, so for me it works fine. However, I recently purchased a newer phone because of the WiFi capability. Up until very recently I was able to use my iPhone 4 through my WiFi and not use my minutes. This was fabulous while it lasted. It is no longer doing that now. Even connected to my home WiFi and my data off my minutes are being used. This may be a result of an update, as Tracfone must have been losing a lot of $$$

  19. My 76 year old mother has been using Tracphone for years only when she travels away from home as she gets no signal at her house.
She wanted to try a smartphone so I went with her to the store to make sure her new phone had WiFi calling capabilities.
And it did. For a time.
    Luckily I was suspicious.
I did have the sales person write out on the receipt: If future software updates disable the WiFi callig feature that I would be entitled to a full refund.
Selling a full featured phone and later hobbling seems like intentional bait and switch.
When you are connected to a home WiFi network you have already paid for data usage through your service provider. Forcing you to use airtime while on WiFi seems like charging you again for something you already paid for.
