LG L34C Optimus Fuel - Now Available on Tracfone!

LG Optimus Fuel Android Smartphone

LG L34C Optimus Fuel
LG L34C - Optimus Fuel Coming Soon
UPDATE: The LG Optimus Fuel has been spotted on eBay, Amazon and also the Tracfone website! See below for links.

We will be updating with a full review in the near future!

An Android powered smartphone, the LG L34C, is a small, but powerful phone available with Tracfone. We will share some of the expected features and specs for the phone, and keep you updated on news about this phone. As of September 24th, 2014, the LG Optimus Fuel is now available on eBay. (see the link above to check it out).

While we have known about this phone for some months now, we do want to give anyone who might not know a heads up in case you are looking for more cell phone options. We also want to provide more information on the LG L34C for those who might be looking forward to it.

The LG L34C will be coming to Tracfone, a prepaid cell phone and service provider that specializes in low cost phones and service options. Over the last year, Tracfone has released a handful of smartphones for use on their network. All of the phones so far use Android OS, and run on Verizon CDMA cell phone towers.

You can learn more about the other smartphones available from Tracfone by visiting our Cell Phone Reviews page and browsing the reviews.

Now, let's take a closer look at the LG L34C

What to Expect from the LG L34C - Features and Specs

The LG L34C, also known as the LG Optimus Fuel, is a touchscreen Android powered smartphone. It is fairly similar in some ways to the LG Optimus Dynamic II (LG L39C) that Tracfone released a few months back. But it has one big difference we are really excited about.

The LG L34C is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat - the latest operating system. None of the other smartphones from Tracfone use the latest OS. Android 4.4 is reported to have better efficiency and power usage, and it is always good to have the latest operating system.

Features for the LG Optimus Fuel:
  • Android 4.4
  • Verizon 3G
  • WiFi
  • GPS
  • Triple Minutes for Life
  • 3MP Camera
  • MP3 Player
  • Bluetooth
  • Many other Tracfone features like Voicemail, Caller ID Etc.
LG L34C Technical Specs:
  • Size: 4.3" x 2.32" x 0.47"
  • Screen: 3.5" IPS Touchscreen
  • 1.2 Ghz processor
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 4 GB internal memory
  • Up to 32 GB external via Micro SD
  • Weight: 4 oz
  • Battery: 10 Hours talk time, 11 days standby
The features and specs for the LG L34C give us a better idea of what this phone has to offer and it does have some great features, specifically the Android 4.4 operating system, but the screen size is only 3.5 inches, and the camera is nothing to get excited about.

The screen is the same size as several of Tracfone's other devices like the ZTE Valet, and Samsung Galaxy Centura. The Optimus Dynamic II has a slightly larger screen at 3.8 inches.

The LG Optimus Fuel has just now become available, on eBay and Amazon, the version for Straight Talk has been available for some months now. We have also found the phone on Tracfone.com, listed for $80.

The LG Optimus Fuel is available with and without minutes:

Get the LG Optimus Fuel for $49.99 on Amazon.

Get the LG Optimus Fuel for $49.99 on eBay.

Get the LG Optimus Fuel with 600 Minutes for $69 on eBay

Get the LG Optimus Fuel with 1200 Minutes for $99 on eBay

The LG Optimus Fuel has also been listed on several Black Friday ads for just $10! Visit our Black Friday Deals page for more info!

We will continue to update this as we get information about the LG L34C, and be sure to leave a comment with any questions or things you have found. At this time, the LG Optimus Fuel is not listed on the Tracfone website, but they usually lag behind in listing new phones.

To learn more about this phone, you can view the LG L34C Tutorials or the LG L34C User Manual (100+ pg PDF).

If you're looking for a smartphone to use with Tracfone, visit our Tracfone BYOP page where we give you information on the 'Bring Your Own Phone' to Tracfone program, and a list of compatible phones including both Android and Apple devices.

There is also another phone coming to Tracfone soon, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style, with a 4 inch touchscreen and both front and rear facing cameras.

Got the LG Optimus Fuel to replace my stolen Samsung Proclaim on Straighttalk. Very impressed as it is a faster phone than the Proclaim and can be had for only $30 at Walmart! ($60 direct from straighttalk). Very VERY good value!!

Anonymous said...

Yay! Thank you so much for the details on this phone. I have been waiting and waiting to see when it will be released, and it is so helpful to have you right here giving us the info. I would like a larger screen, yet the newer tech is attractive. We shalll see...

Anonymous said...

It looks like Tracfone is finally getting with the program...we want android and we like Tracfone. I am in- either for this one or for the upcoming Samsung on the horizon.

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

There also appears to be a Samsung phone on the way with Android 4.3, a 4 inch screen, and front facing camera. Will be posting about it very soon.

Anonymous said...

Do you know if the new Samsung will have a more pixel, auto-focus camera?

Anonymous said...

Front facing camera and a larger screen is just what I've been waiting for. I currently have the Tracfone Samsung Galaxy. works well but a little sluggish at times.

Anonymous said...

Tracfone charges one minute (unit) per text on all android phones. You will spend a fortune per month on texting. BEWARE!

Anonymous said...

Can you give us a hint about the phone with the front facing camera?? Who make it and the model number and the ETA?
thanks

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

Yes, there is a link now at the bottom of the article above! It is the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style.

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

Yes, it has a 5mp autofocus rear facing camera. There is now a link at the bottom of the article above!

The fact that Tracfone is releasing more Android phones is all well and good, but when are they ever going to start selling phones with 4.5 - 5.0 inch screens? This is the industry standard size for smartphones yet all the phones they offer are smaller. I refuse to buy a phone with a 3.5 - 4.0 inch screen in 2014.

Anonymous said...

Not accurate. It does not use "minutes," it uses the text message bucket.

Each airtime minute you buy becomes 3 text messages, 3 minutes of voice, and 3MB of data.
Again, that's AND.

So, while old phones shared the minutes for everything, now you get separate buckets for each.

Anonymous said...

Happy for you.

I refuse to buy a phone with a screen over 4."
I want a phone, not a mini tablet.

The 4" screen I have now doesn't fit comfortably in a pocket. I sure don't want bigger.

Anonymous said...

Amazing the Fuel is only 30$ on Straight Talk at Walmart! Wonder if this pricing will hold when it comes to tracfone?

Anonymous said...

My samsung 390g minutes get tripled, and a text costs me 0.3 minutes (more if the text is larger, which they usually are). So for every minute on the card, I get 3 / 0.3 = 10 SMS txt messages!

Do all Android text msgs cost 1 "txt data unit", no matter how much text is in the msg? If so, then it is a good deal. If not, then the old phones are a 3.3x better deal.

Anonymous said...

In reviews, please include screen resolution...size doesn't mean much if it only has 240 or 320 pixels. This info is not easy to find (and when I do find it, the data is disappoointing - tracfones are still low res).

Anonymous said...

"I refuse to buy a phone with a screen over 4."
I want a phone, not a mini tablet."

Spot on. I could not have written it any better.

Anonymous said...

Any updates on the Fuel coming from tracfone? This just might be a ground breaker for Tracfone to truly compete with all the other cutting edge phones.
I have held off on a smartphone up til now... Still happy with my LG840G from them.

Does anyone know if this phone has Gorilla glass. I purchased this phone a couple of weeks ago to replace a Samsung Proclaim. It is 10 times the phone that the Proclaim was. One thing I could never do with the Proclaim was download documents.Yesterday I downloaded a 159 page document in about 5 seconds. I am very impressed with this phone. So fast!

Anybody know when tracfone will release these two new phones? (galaxy ace and fuel)

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure, it's been a while since they came for straight talk. I've been checking here and other sites almost everyday.

does anyone know how to access voicemail options i forgot my password and the optimus fuel doesn't give me any options to change my greeting or password please help

How does LG34C compare against the LG39C? I think the 39 has a larger screen, and the 34 might have more internal memory; but otherwise pretty similar. I realize that the 39 is on TF while 34 can be on ST or PP, I'm just after which is better, or if they are pretty much the same.

I have the same question........ if the 39c was upgradeable to the new 4.4 Android OS it would be just as good. Why these Android OS aren't upgradeable is a question too.

Anonymous said...

They are very similar. The LG39C has a 3.8 inch screen, but is on 4.1. The LG Fuel's operating system is newer and has new features. They both have 3 MP cameras which is why I want the Ace Style. Operating systems aren't upgradable well maybe, but some depend on the hardware of the phone and also cell phone carriers want you to buy the latest devices.

Anonymous said...

Well both of you have quite a selection of small screen phones to choose from right now as it is. Those of us who want a bigger screen phone are still waiting for our first choice!!! I hope they come out with one soon!!!

Unknown said...

When?

Hoody said...

Might be soon now, Walmart just uppped the price to 60 bucks, smirks.....

Anonymous said...

How soon is "soon?" I want to switch to tracfone but the best offered near me is the lg dynamic 2. I've got disposable income and a hole in my life the size of a Sony Xperia Z1S that's taken water damage. =(

Hoody said...

dono homes, but at 60 bucks I won't be buyin it, if it started at 30 it should go down not up. what I said was just tongue in cheek sarc.

Just got the LG L34C from Amazon it works really well on Tracfone service. I switched service online from old tracfone no problem i love it.

Unknown said...

Clled Tracfone and they do not offer this phone and it does not show on their web site.

Anonymous said...

I was just wondering if the Fuel and the Samsung Ace have the talk to text features. I like the Fuel but may be holding out for the Ace. What are your opinions?

Anonymous said...

Hi, are you able to carry over your existing Tracfone minutes to the new LG Fuel?

Anonymous said...

Yes Fuel has the talk to text features. I carried over 1100 minutes and did the switch over online with no problems. So far this is a really nice phone for Tracfone.

Anonymous said...

Price drop LG L34C from Amazon is now 58.99 it went down 10 dollars.

Anonymous said...

!!! You can buy the Fuel on Amazon or Ebay for less than you can buy the Dynamic II! Wonder how long that'll last.

Anonymous said...

Why is it the Optimus II cost more than the Fuel? Is it because the II has larger screen, but the Fuel has a faster processor? N'est pas?

Anonymous said...

The Tracfone website is now showing the Motorola XT830C on their tutorial page which means they will be selling it soon. The XT830C is actually the Moto E. This smartphone has a 4.3" display, 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage with a 32GB expandable SD card, runs kitkat 4.44, and has 1GB of RAM. These are the best specs that Tracfone has ever had for a smartphone. I had been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S765 to purchase but instead will wait now for the new Motorola XT830C (Moto E).

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

Yes, that is really exciting news. Let's hope it doesn't take so long to be available!

Anonymous said...

BestBuy has it on their shelf...................NEW!!!.

Anonymous said...

What do the added smartphones to Tracfone's tutorial page mean? (ex. Moto E, Lg L41C, etc.) Will these phones be available soon as well?

Hoody said...

http://tracfone.deviceanywhere.com/tracfone/home.seam?custId=TFLGL41C&locale=en_US

I don't think the Moto has a front camera, but seems the OS is upgradeable from what I read on another review site.

Looks like either one is top billing though for Tracfone, depending on the selling price it should eat the bottom out of the L34c. :)

I'm leaning more towards the L41C, which is an offshoot of the L70. Just need to see what the price point will be. I'd like to have seen Tracfone add the Moto G.

Hoody said...

Would be real neat to see the LG Volt turn up on Trackphone :)

@Russ Nuthmann; Depends what zipcode you're in for phone availability. 86025, 19606, and 88061 list this phone.

Does it have the capability of being a wifi hotspot?

I wrote the comment on July 10th but now I'm a bit stuck. Currently, I have the LG 39c which I upgraded from the Centura. Initially I was not comfortable going to the 3.8" screen but I got used to it.

When I saw LG was offering this phone, I was happy to go back in size for a faster processor, but after carrying around my Centura to get back to the feel of a 3.5" phone, I'm not that enthusiastic about reverting to the smaller size.

At this point, I'll hold onto the 39c and wait until the Moto E comes out to decide if the 4.3 inch is too big. Ideally, I want a 3.8 - 4.0 inch phone with a small form factor and a faster processor.

TracfoneReviewer Team said...

Along with the Moto E, there may be a few other phones coming out soon(ish) that will suit your needs. Stay tuned!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the info! I actually had approximately 1300 minutes/texts and data and also did the switch no problem. I bought on eBay for $58.99, and the other perk you get is they automatically extend your subscription by 90 days. So if you have a lot of minutes etc., its like getting another $21 dollars for free as you save a 90 day re-upping fee, This LG Fuel works great, and like Steve Jobs, I actually prefer a cell phone that fits in your hand :)

Anonymous said...

Best Buy just raised the price of the Optimus Fuel. It was $69.99 a few days ago, now it's $79.99. Thankfully I was able to snatched one before they raised the price.

Hi, I'm a tech newbie retiree, and have a question. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet and a Samsung Centura phone. Everything syncs together with them nicely. Would this LG phone sync my Google emails and everything from my Samsung tablet in the same way? Sorry for the seemingly dumb question, but again, I'm kind of tech challenged, so any advice from you tech savy folks is welcome.

Anonymous said...

Bought one off of Ebay from one of the links in the article above. I spent 79.99 but also got 600/600/600 with it too. Couldn't have gotten a better deal in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

I had JUST pulled the trigger on an optimus II ($84 at newegg with 200 minutes = 600 text/talk/data, which seemed like a really good deal) when I found out that this phone existed. It's on Amazon (prime) for $58 right now (no minutes), and then immediately saw that it's on ebay with 200 min for $79. I can't figure out why it's so cheap! Hopefully it works well! I was going to try to activate my husband's old moto g but this has android 4.4 for less trouble.

Anonymous said...

I was able to bring my 1250 minutes from one phone to another without a problem. Took the 1250 minutes and made it 1250 minutes, 1250 texts and 1250mb of data. I am just curious if the carryover is "unlimited" because it doesn't state that on Tracfones website.

Anonymous said...

Don't know whether I can hold my breath for the XT830C or just pull the $57 dollar trigger on the LG Fuel. Then perhaps get the XT830C if it comes out. We've waited essentially since March for the Fuel and S765 to come out!

Hoody said...

Yes as far as I see, I just did that from my 840G to this 306G, matter of fact I had 94 min till Nov 15th on the 840, and when it was done had 120min till Jan 15 on the 306.

Just bought the LG L34c a few days ago at Best Buy. Nice phone, but I have encountered a problem with charging. This morning i removed it from the charger, turned it on, charge was 100%. Put it in my purse and went to work. It stayed in the locker till lunch, 6 hrs later. took it out and saw that the battery was down to 60% and it was not even used for anything. Just turned on. This can't be normal????? The wi-fi and sync were turned off. How can I get a longer battery life???? This may have to go back.....

How does one get the LG L34c to recognize a Google account? All i want is to be able to d/l some apps, but I cannot get this phone to access my google. Tried everything on the web and in the searches. Apparently this is a common problem, but I have not got it resolved yet. HELP.tia.

Yes, it will work fine as it is Google doing the synching, doesn't matter about devices. I am also using a Samsung tablet and works great with my LG Fuel Tracfone.

I got my new (first smart phone) LGL34C Optimus Fuel from Amazon a week ago. I love it and got it in 2 days.

yes.....go under apps and look for Voice command. you can also open apps from the voice command as well. I like the "ok google" command better. Just hit the microphone in the second screen. It has a box on top with GOOGLE and a mic at the other end. hit the mic and it turns red, then speak.

great deal....paid 80 for mine at best buy last month.......phone is great for a pay as you go. battery life SUCKS!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Richard Johnson, yes you should be able to transfer your minutes and time. If they say that they can't, ask for a manager, because I made sure I could transfer both, because I have built up my time til 2019. They transferred everything over on the last phone I purchased, and it didn't take too long. My biggest problem with Tracfone, is their employees are foreign, and I have a very hard time understanding them. I've heard that you can ask for an operator in the USA and they have to transfer to one. I hope you are able to transfer your minutes and time without too much hassle! !

I just got one of these TF Optimus Fuel phones at Kroger for $19.99. For that cheap price I wanted to compare it to my ZTE Valet. It's so much better than the Valet!! I switched my TF number and service over to the Fuel, it was very easy to do online. Took about 10 minutes. My Google account updated on the Fuel very quickly. It even brought all my saved wifi networks over to the Fuel automatically.

There is only 512mb RAM so you have to watch carefully if you want to load a lot of apps. I use the RAM widget to keep an eye on that space.

SEARS AND KMART HAVE THE LG OPTIMUS FUEL L34C FOR $9.99. HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT ONE AND AM GOING TO BUY ANOTHER INSTEAD OF A SERVICE CONTRACT. HAD MINE FOR 2 DAYS AND AM HAPPY. CONS: NO BAR CODE SCAN. NO LED FLASH.

Hoody said...

picked up this 34c, on the box it said must be scanned at register to activate?? The cashier said she can't cause its already paid for?? called TF some individual just asked for the SN, and seems it can be activated???

Anyway will un-box the thing and see what it does, there are 4 more tags that say do not remove until ready to activate lol. well hell I'm not ready to activate, I just wana check the thing out first. oh well.................

btw, the screen on my 306G is 3.2 anf this one is 3.5, but the 306 still looks wider??

Hoody said...

well messin around with this 34 all night and still there's a lot to figure out, I find it a bit harder to deal with some things that were pretty easy on the 306G, but It was cool to see apps I would click on on web page's that would just automatically d/l and install with nothing else but a click on line. Pretty much everything d/led would move over to the SD card.

One thing I'm still trying to figure is when I copied the folders of my pics and music files off the SD card on the 306g over to the SD card on the 34 I can't seem to get my paint shop pro program to find the folders to be able to edit the pics, the 306g has no problem like that. I can find the folder on the 34 by going to file/new and see the 34 listed that way, but not when I want to have the folder show up on the list of normal pic folders. maybe I need to re add that stuff to the phone and move it from there directly to the SD card, I dono, will see.

I also decided not to move any time/min from my 306, I will keep it as it is and just get a new number on this one, and throw 20 bucks worth of time on it.

as this is the first so called smart phone I've owned, that uses this 3 bucket thing, in my case I assume since I don't text much or even call all that much the one that would get the most use is the "data" time when I use it on line. So I assume the same time cards I use now are the same for this 34, the usual 60 min card that tripples. Casue I also see some data cards that they say are just for Android phones, I assume those are to get more on line time, right?

I removed all the apps and widgets off the home screen, I just want to see the background pic (same as my av here) I will add my contacts and the icon pics for them on the other 2 sections though. Which brings up another question, I tried this blue tooth like someone said to use to move my contacts from my 306 to this 34, but the phones wouldn't see each other?, I remember I had to re enter ALL my contacts I had on the 840 on the 306 manually too, and ended up re doing all the icon pics on screen too. I could only copy the pics and music as installed. I did end up with some of the Google contacts loaded on this 34 after loggin into my Google account though.

Hoody said...

I'm not clear on this "scan", those little weird looking phone squares on box's, like the box this came in has this thing to scan to get some info app, well how the hell do you do that? I know how to use the camera to take a pic, but what does that do? it just takes the picture of the thing, where does the "scanning" part come in? , and does what its supposed to do?

Hoody said...

man o man, more twists and turns when activating lolol

So OK called TF to go ahead and get this thing activated, I wanted to activate it with a "new" number, and NOT transfer anything from my 306G, I want to keep that one till the time runs out on it. Anyway activating a Android isn't the same as a Java I guess, cause when I first got the 840 all I did was call and got it activated, they added 30 min I think to get started. Well with Androids they DON'T give you anything when activating a new number, you HAVE to have already bought an air time card and use the number, the only way you can do it otherwise is to transfer your old phone's min over.

So guess I'll just wait till I'm ready, doesn't matter I have the 306 for calls, the 34 does everything now just no calling, hell even the time is correct on it without being activated unlike the 306 that had to be activated to set the correct time. I'll head on post maybe Monday and get a 60 min card at the PX and just activate the thing myself on line.

and btw, that cashier scanning doesn't mean anything, all you need is that SN :)

You can download a bar code scanner from Google Play, though the camera doesn't do particularly well with barcodes (it will work fine with QR codes, however).

Anonymous said...

Your photo problems are a result of android 4.4 which blocks access to other non app folders except in certain cases.

Hoody said...

hmm OK I think I get what your sayin, you mean kitkat isn't letting my computer program Paint Shop Pro access to the folder and files, OK, weird.....

Well I do it another way, just copy the file (pic) to the HD and edit it, than just copy it back. I can see the the phone's folders listed under the My Computer.

I'm not sure if this thing will get any kind of update or not, if not its no big loss for a 10 buck item, its more a learning experience coming from a java OS based 840/306. Its like the old days of going from a 386 to a Pentium lolol, and on and on it goes :)

I HAVE THE 840 AND THE 38C. THE 840 IS A JOKE COMPARED TO THE 38C, IMHO.

I bought the LG OPTIMUS FUEL L34C the beginning of Nov. to replace my old LG 420G which needed a new sim card. When reading all the reviews it seemed like a good purchase. I even called Tracfone to ask about the signal in my area. They assured me that the signal strength would be better because the technology is much better in this phone. WRONG, now half the time I cannot make a call or receive a call from my home. Of course when I call Tracfone to have them check things out then the call goes through and thiey say nothing is wrong, BULL. Two minutes later I can’t make or receive a call, does that sound like there is nothing wrong, what a piece of JUNK. I should have just kept my old phone and got the new sim card. My wife was going to get one but not now. BEWARE!! you have been warned, I’m not impressed with anything about this phone. I don’t need a phone that does anything special but making calls would be nice. I’m also constantly charging the battery when all I really do is send a few texts during the day. I may have to get another phone just so I don’t miss important calls when I’m at home. Like I said think before you buy this phone.

Disgruntled College Grad said...

I already knew the signal didn't reach my home (I live in a rural area). It has better coverage once I leave my area and the battery lasts almost two days. I have Tasker and created scripts that turns the mobile data on and off once I connect to a wifi.

Disgruntled College Grad said...

There was a change in the security in Android 4.4; apps have to be rewritten to use new API to access the SD Card or the phone has to be rooted
I rooted my LG L34C using Towelroot and it's working fine, no problems.
I also have Tasker and created an app where it sends a google map link to my current location if you send me a certain SMS.

I will be upgrading from my non-Android phone to an Android phone received as a gift. How will Tracfone move over my 2,000 current minutes to the Android phone? Will they all go to the voice bucket? All to the text bucket? Or will the 2,000 be split automatically by Tracfone, with 1/3 going to each of the three buckets? I certainly don't want all 2,000 going to voice, as I don't call much. Split between the three would be ok, or if I can specify all go to text, that would be even better. Don't know if that's possible, though.

Agreed on the battery! At 1:30 AM, I set the alarm clock to wake me at 8:30 AM. The battery was at 68% when I set it. The battery didn't last the rest of the night. The alarm never went off because the phone was dead. If this battery lasts for 24 hours in standby mode, I feel like I'm doing good. If I used it for anything, I'd cut that number in half. I bought an LG phone because I thought LG had a good reputation for electronics.

Hey, I'm the one who posted the reply on December 8, 2014 at 4:38 PM and I wrote to LG and asked about this issue. Their suggestions solved my battery issue. Try turning off wi-fi when you aren't using it and the battery lasts WAY longer. My phone was charged 2 days ago and its still at 95% today.

Turn off wi-fi when not using it and the battery lasts much longer.

LG Optimus Fuel L34C - How To Add Your Own Ringtones
.
How to add your own MP3 ringtones to a LG Optimus Fuel L34C phone from a Windows PC. This will also probably work on most other LG android smartphones, but I haven't tried it.
.
Any MP3 file can be used as a ringtone, even a whole song. There is no limit to the file size.
.
.
Plug USB data cable into the Windows PC USB port. You can use the charger cable for this, once you disconnect it from the charger plug (If it is the type that unplugs from the charger plug, otherwise you will need a USB to micro-USB data cable).
.
Plug micro USB cable end into L34C phone (The L34C phone should be turned on and on the main screen).
.
Wait for the "Select USB Connection Method" screen to come up on the L34C phone. Choose "Media Sync (MTP)".
.
-On the Windows PC, start the Windows File Explorer.
-Go to the top of the menu tree in Windows File Explorer and select "My PC" or "This PC"
-On the right window pane, next to the C: drive icon, a phone icon should appear with the name of your phone. Double-Click on it.
-Now you should see two selections for the L34C phone, "internal storage" and "SD card". Double-Click on "SD card".
-If there is an "Android" folder, click on it. Otherwise, create a folder called, "Android" (without the quotes).
-Inside the "Android" folder, create a folder called, "media" (without the quotes).
-Inside the "media" folder, create a folder called, "ringtones" (without the quotes).
-Inside the "ringtones" folder, create a folder called, "audio" (without the quotes).
.
The finished folders should look like this (Uppercase and lowercase letters should also match):
.
/Android/media/ringtones/audio/
.
Add any MP3 ringtone files to the "audio" folder you have created on the SD card.
.
.
When finished, disconnect the data cable from the L34C phone.
.
If you go to your phone ringtones list on the LG phone, your added ringtones should appear at the top of the list under "MY RINGTONES", above the "LG RINGTONES" list.

just bought a lg fuel and so far love it. Just wondering what hearing aid compatible means?

I just got a LG l34c- Ive had an old basic LG flip phone forever and had wonderful service. I thought I was moving up by getting this phone. It will only work in a 1 mile area of where it was activated. No signal any where else even under 2 Verizon towers. Im a truck driver and my old LG Flip phone worked nearly every where I went. Customer service sucks, what little English they speak. Run away from this piece of junk.

I just bought L34c from QVC, phone with 1 year and 1200 minutes for $ 99.99. Also they will add 600 minutes and 90 days if you send them back any old Tracfone. The phone is free and plus some. A very good deal

Does the L34C have a Micro SD card slot as the paperwork says? I see inside the rear cover where it says "Micro SD Card" molded into a piece of plastic - but don't see a card - or a slot big enough for a card!

Hoody said...

yeah its there, its kinda hard to see cause its small, its on the side, if your holding the phone with the cover off upside down its on the mid right side, if your holding it face up its on the left side. has a small indent.

Anonymous said...

Yes that's what it means. They are now available, and the Moto E has been on sale with 1200 min & 1 year activation for $100 which pretty much makes the Fuel an irrelevant phone for everyone except those who want something very small.

At the time of this writing the L41C, AKA LG Ultimate 2, is $130 for the same 1200min/1yr. bundle and probably worth the extra money for the larger screen but especially that unlike the Moto E it has an autofocus camera with LED flash.

When is tracfone going to have a text only unit purchase card? This splitting of texts and Min. is crazy. 1000 min. and no texts left

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure whether or not to buy this phone... The reviews for it look good, and the specs also look nice, but I still am not sure if I can get the performance that I want for $30.

I just upgraded to a smartphone with the L34C and I have a couple of basic questions. Can I connect to a hotspot or do I have to always use my data minutes? How do I do that? Also is there a mail app or do I have to go in through my browser to get my mail?
Does anyone have a link to a L34C manual? Thanks

Anonymous said...

Yes, it does. Works great. Decent fone.

Anonymous said...

You can connect to any open hotspot or wi-fi with a password. And yes, you can use email apps such as g-mail or yahoo, etc. It works great. I've had mine 5 months and it serves me perfectly, plus its a perfect size. Cant stand the trend to those bulky and cumbersome oversized phones.

Stay away from ZTE Valet. It's a waste of money, total junk.

I just purchased phone and I had 1100 minutes on my old lg and they transferred all to voice - No text - No data. I thought I could use these for both voice and text as the same on my old phone. They said no. I needed to add a card to use text and data. I am very disappointed as I use more text then voice.

Got this phone for my 15th brithday. It no longer is a good phone anymore, its super slow. I am not able to play games on it becuase they ALL lag way to much. Keybored always crashes when i am typing. and it was just a waste of my parents money to get me. if they wanted to waste 50 dollars on a phone, they should have gotten an actually good quality phone. Dont waste your money on it.

Anonymous said...

Totally agree this is not a phone for teenagers who want to play games on it. For adults who want to use it as a phone and for general purpose smartphone functions however, it is great! Plus a perfect and handy size.

My LG34C works great even in the hills here in Appalachia on TracFone. I'm happy- but want to get the 32GB card- any trouble w/that vs. the stock 4GB card?

I hit send MMS....after a few seconds I get message.... delivery failed...in addition when some one sends me a photo attached to a text, I cannot open it.either. always says message expired.... BUT I was recently on vacation out of state and I was able to receive and send texts with photos attached!!!!!! GO FIGURE!!!!! anyone have ANY idea that this is about??????

I can not check my mintues!!!!

I hate this company - I can not do anything without it being a big project and taking up hours of time!

I put in the last four the S/N and it says its wrong - well I am looking at the back of my phone, and nope, its correct. On top of that I never get calls when people say they called me (or even showing a missed call!). Many of my text say "download" but it will not download... what the heck?

AA said...

It's free now on tracfone site but you can't get a regular time card.Must be a smartphone card and triple minutes does not apply.

Anonymous said...

Not currently accurate. They did do this in the past.

Currently the default refill option is you get a the same number of phone minutes, texts, and megabytes of data, all on different accounts. With my personal use, I find that this means I get that number of minutes, and text and data are effectively free. If you need just data, there's a better option, but it's still very expensive. I just connect it to my wireless lan and I'm good.

If you're trying to use 3G Tracphone data for your primary internet connection, you're well f'ed, and should consider a different carrier.

Screen resolution is 320 x 480. With zoom, this is quite adequate for emergency internet access, but this phone makes a poor primary internet access device.

Also, it is quite small. This is quite convenient for phone calls and as an audio player, but you'll be fat-fingering touchscreen input unless you blow up the screen a lot.

FrankM said...

Yes, it does. up to 32 Gb. It's on the lower right under the battery compt.

FrankM said...

Text only cards are online at Tracfone website

FrankM said...

I installed a 32 Gb card. Works fine. But way more than phone needs. I would say a 16 GB card is ok. Unless you're storing tons of photos. Then get the 32. WalMart about $18 currently, for 32 GB

FrankM said...

USB to Computer. Unless your pictures are on the SD card, it's a direct connection Micro USB to USB 2.0. Get one at Dollar Tree for $1. Does the job as good as the $15 dollar ones from Wally Mart.

FrankM said...

Go to Google Play store and download the My Account Downloader for Tracfone.
Easy as pie.

Anonymous said...

Make sure you have your data turned on. For some reason it doesn't permit photo attachments to be downloaded via a Wifi connection. Only allows using your data.

Unknown said...

it worked. made sure the data connection was on, could never figure that one out!!!! thanks a million!!!

I recently upgraded to this phone from a LG840 and I like it a lot, except I am missing occasional incoming texts. Twice my husband has sent messages and I have not received them. Anyone else have this happen, and how did you resolve the problem if so?
