How to Add Minutes and Test Different Promo Codes
While many people use their phone to add a prepaid refill card and promo code, there is another option that allows the user to test several different Tracfone promo codes in case the first promo code didn't work: Simply add your new minutes online, and enter your promo code there!- Go to Tracfone.com
- Select the airtime card you want to purchase
- When you get to the 'Checkout' screen, there should be a space to enter a promo code towards the lower right of the screen. Enter a code for your airtime card.
- If you get an error message at the top of the screen, that code will not work. If nothing is displayed the code should work.
- Calling Tracfone to add airtime over the phone is also a good way to check that the promo code will work with your phone before you add the airtime.

I bought a 120 minutes card for Talk, Text, Web adds promo code 56713, and received 270 bonus minutes, not bad for $30.
Code worked great even though it was listed as good through April 2020. Code I tried for this month (May 2020) did not.

First time since I found your blog that I was NOT able to turn a 1.0 Gb refill into 1.5; website says all 3 promo codes "have been used" (true, but they used to come back in time). I'd benefit from understanding how often you can use these promos, or how long you have to wait before reusing them!
Two months ago I did the 20 min promo code and it worked on the 60 min. I got 80 total. Before that I called or did it online and both times both ways kept me on the phone or online forever and kept going back and forth with a supervisor and trying to change how many minutes I should get and I was so frustrated with them that i wore I would change companies and I still plan to but trying to get by until I can. This time I did the 20 min promo code and all I got was 60 and not the bonus. Told me to call them. I am not going to do that and have them keep me on the phone an hour again. Just not worth it. T his company had gone downhill and I have been with them over 20 years.

I must have a very peculiar phone. Every code I tried to use got the error msg saying not available for this phone. Other tracfone users I know can apply codes, but my attempts have either come up expired, or not available for this phone. VERY discouraging.

I have an LG306G triple minutes feature phone
SInce you did not have a code for AUGUST 2020 ( I always check!)
I tried entering 12475 March code, did not work,
so tried 71065 July code and it worked -added additional 30 minutes
total of 210 minutes added
Note, I bought an LG 306G in 2017 and it had battery but in late May or early June of this year 2020 suddenly seemed to lock so I could not make a call though I had 87 minutes and airtime through 2022 . I used a landline to call Tracfone, and two different calls two different agents could not answer what my issue was. I loved this phone and did not want to lose the triple minutes feature. So I did a search and found one on EBAY new in box and bought it for $35. So I went to transfer the number and minutes still on my old phone and called Tracfone. I was assured I would have the triple minutes for life and that my minutes from my previous phone that died would all be transferred. IT WAS A LIVING customer service nightmare to accomplish this and get my new phone activated so that I could make calls. I was transferred over and over as agents said they were having technical problem to transfer my minutes. I was hung up on as I was being transferred at least 3 times. The first attempt to get my new phone active took over 4 hours and multimple transfers, and directions to do this and do that on my new phone to no avail after 4 different agents.
Next day, I tried again, again was transferred multiple times, told that phone was activated, but could not transfer my minutes and yet I could not make a call still on the phone because I had no minutes. Transferred 7 more times, yep! 7. STILL DID NOT WORK.
Next day, tried again and asked for a manager in MIAMI CORP OFFCIE, so was transferred. AGENT COULD NOT DO THE JOB, transferred me to the 11th agent ( THE FIRST FEMALE- supposed manager) SHE GET THE WINNER AWARD as she heard my complaints, my issues of 4 days and she being the 11th agent I was transferred to. SHE GOT MY MINUTES TRANSFERRED IN LESS THAN 3 minutes, was SUPER PROFESSIONAL and made certain that my phone registered the 87 minutes and that I could make a call on it finally 4 days later! So, I asked to speak to her SUPERVISOR TO GIVE HER CUDOS.
She thanked me for recognizing her WONDER WOMAN abiilties to actually be able to use my new tracfone triple minutes for life LG 360G.
Her supervisor ( a woman) thanked me for taking the time to recognize her employee for service EXCELLENT. I said to her " SHE SHOULD BE TRAINING EVERYONE IN YOUR COMPANY, GIVE HER A RAISE AND A PROMOTION, and especially everyone of the 10 male agents who just did not want to do their job and either intentionally or "accidently" disconnected me doing a transfer because they did not know how to do their jobs.
I have wondered since this nightmare, if TRACFONE is intentionally technically killing the SIM CARD in older triple minutes feature phones.
My old LG never ever ever ever gave me one second of issues in the 3 years I used it. And I mostly just text on it,so a 60 minute triple minutes lasts me generally 3 months!
Does anyone know how I can transfer the photos on my old phone sim card
. Since tracfone told me they disabled my old phone, can I simply transfer the memory card or sim card using a thumb drive to my home computer. Lost 4 years of photos! Thanks

None of the three listed here worked today. The details:
14223 gives error message "expired".
66975 and
78439 give no error message. They both give the response "code applied" but neither gives any bonus data, much less 500 MB of bonus data.
The best I can do now is 2 GB Data for $18 USA. Anyone know of a better way to add data?
I can't complain, I added a 120-minute card along with promo code 49596 and got 270 bonus minutes, 390 total minutes not bad for $30.
Did not work. Used promo code 49413 for additional 1000 text to 1000 text $5 purchase. Entered online while logged in to my account. Said "promo applied". First time a code didn't work after being applied. Very sad.
None of the three 1 GB data promo codes work.

The codes always work for my Android.
TracFone service was limited to TracFone-branded phones, which are locked to the TracFone service using an internal SIM card. Other GSM phones, even those that were unlocked from another carrier, could not accept a TracFone SIM card, because these are bound to a specific handset. However, in 2013, TracFone began selling SIM cards that could be inserted into qualifying non-TracFone phones (such as Verizon CDMA phones) to register them with TracFone. In 2015, this program was extended to compatible unlocked GSM phone
Successfully used Code 22448 for $50 off a $125 Smartphone Only Card with my long-time BYOB Samsung Android phone: 1 year service, 1500 minutes, 1500 texts, but strangely enough only 1.44471 GB of data (I'll call tomorrow and have TF Exec Resolutions staff clarify why the tiny discrepancy; they're great!) Final cost: $77.89. Where else can you get a cell phone plan for under $80/year!! Perfect during a pandemic!

Tracfone sent me a code 34905 on my phone on August 26,2020 for 20 bonus minutes on a 60 minute card. I had to renew on August 31, 2020 and the code was not accepted. I spoke to customer service and they said it had expired and they could not give me another code instead.
What's up Tracfone, why are you sending expired codes? Not happy!!!!

Tried to use 83041 (1000 bonus text) and 78439 (bonus 500 Mb) on Sept 9th on two separate transactions, both said they were accepted after entering them, but bonuses did not show up when I check my totals the next day
TF chat agent says code 22448 does not work anymore.
Thanks for the website that I have been using for quite some time now. I used code 69458 to add an additional 0.5 GB to my 1GB add on card. Even though it said on tracfone website that promo was applied (on my non smart phone before it would always give a rejection if not working) however when checking my balance, it did not actually give the extra 0.5 for this code.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tracfone with triple minutes. I tried all the expired codes for the 120 minute cards and none worked.
I just successfully used 22448, on October 27, 2020, for a $125 card.

Just tried code 69458 for bonus data, didn't work. Also tried code 83041 for bonus texts, didn't work. The website it accepted the promo code. I haven't had a promo code work since July 2020. I've contacted Tracfone tech support via chat in the past, they would escalate my question, and then tell me the code has expired.

34905 (not listed yet) is a newer code I have been getting sent to my flip phones. It claims 20 bonus on a 60 minute card.
Smartphone Data:
69458 has been working reliably for 500 MB data bonus on a 1 GB purchase. (Only the first time I tried it did I have to chat online to get the bonus.)
Another option on a 1 GB purchase is to buy a second GB for an extra US $8, or $18 total for 2 GB. (That option seems to come and go with TracFone.)
I like the fact of not worrying about the due date for 90 days on my reliable flip phones!
For 60 minute card, December 18, 2020, on triple minute smartphone:
55698 working - 20 bonus minutes
71065 not working - 30 bonus minutes, "Does not work on this phone"
12745 just worked for me on a 60 minute card 12/18/2020.

12745 worked for 60min/90day just now
Not sure if it was a Christmas miracle or what, but I just used 69458 when adding data to 2 different phones on my account and it added the extra 500mb to both of them. Not sure if it made a difference or not but I made two separate orders and used a different credit card for each order. :)
Code 12745 worked for me on December 10 to add 60 extra minutes to a 120 min card. My phone is triple minute, so that gave me a total of 420 min for $29 ! Awesome !

None of those are working. Either expired, or not available for my phone. Has been for a while. Last time I spoke to CS and was told that the codes could only be used a certain number of times, 5 I think.

Promo-Code 67861, which I found somewhere else, got me 120 bonus minutes on an ordinary 60-min card, for a grand total of 180 minutes.

83597 did *not* work. I went online to add 400 minutes & it said the code was good. Showed the discounted price. But, after completing the order it did not use the discounted price. I'm already mad that prices have gone up. Time to shop around for another service provider.

Unfortunately, they never work for me (I always buy 60 min card since I use phone rarely and just to not lose the balance). I always get "Device or account cannot be found in our record." I try all of the codes for 60 min at least twice (sometimes 3 times) before submitting without promo code at which time works without any issues.
One year plan for 125 with 50 dollar promo code equals 6.25 per month for phone and text service. Unbelievable!!!

Here's a trick that I just discovered when buying Smartphone cards in addition to any active promo codes. I just bought three $15 cards (500 minutes, 500 texts, 30 days, and .5 GB data each). Then I added the $50 (365 days only) supersize card before checkout. The result was a total of 1500 minutes, 1500 texts, 455 days, and 1.5 GB for $95 before taxes. This is $30 cheaper before taxes for the same amount of minutes, texts, and data, and it gave me an extra 90 days of service compared with purchasing the single $125 one-year card (1500 minutes, 1500 texts, 365 days, and 1.5 GB data).

the all promo codes for the 1 gig data has lasted 3 months they've not changed ... first month it would only allow me to use it once ..last month it allowed me to use them (rotating times) about 5x each... this month wont let me use at all..

Tried the 22703 today (6-2-21) promo code for 60 bonus min regular air time card but it said it would not work for my phone (Moto g7 Optimo Maxx) but he 67861 code worked.
the last 4-5 months the data only promo codes has not worked for me...I use a heck of alot of data too since I'm in search of something..

For August 2021:
When checking on the Tracfone website, the first three promo codes in the list for the regular use, 60-minute codes did not work. (i.e. 22703, 67861, and 12745 all for 60 bonus minutes were reported as "expired"). Code 55698 for 20 bonus minutes worked and applied to my phone. I am a USA-based consumer on a regular (non-smart) Tracfone. I was using a 60-minute card purchased from Kroger in-person a few days ago. Codes were attempted just now on Monday, August 16, 2021. Thanks so much for the promo codes!
Why are none of the codes for August 2021 working? They say they are expired.

I tried to buy 60 minute airtime on Tracfone's website and through their app today (8-31-21). There was no option for that amount on either one. Huh? I ended up going to local CVS and found the 60 minute card there then added it that way. I don't know if that was a temporary glitch or if it's a permanent change to dump that.

I normally purchase 500 minutes (500 texts and 500MB data) for $15 once a year and use the add-on function to get 1 year's service for an extra $50 (total about $65), but that add-on seems to have disappeared. Thankfully, I found your blog today and just saved $50 by applying it to the $125 plan.
That means that instead of getting 500 minutes, etc. plus 1 year's service for $65, I got 1500 minutes (1500 texts and 1.5GB data) plus 1 year's service for just $10 more at $75. So, thanks again.
